An addon domain is a domain you can host on the same hosting package as your base domain. It has exactly the same priviliges since you can set-up email addresses, forwaredrs and basically everything you do with your main domain.
The visitors of the addon domain will not know if the domain is an addon domain or the main domain of your account.
